WATER ACTIVITIES  

 

WATER FITNESS

The aim of this activity is to improve general physical health, above all in terms of stamina, strength and co-ordination in an aquatic environment. Two basic contents are used:

Aqua-gym: aquatic circuit training with different objectives, depending on the individual requirements of the group.

Aqua-aerobics: Aerobics brought to the swimming pool, with a variety of advantages, such as the lessening of weight on the joints and a slower rhythm, which means that it is easier to follow the session, and that the exercise is really aerobic, working legs and arms simultaneously.

This activity is directed by professional staff, and is carried out in Sant Ponç.


THERAPEUTIC WATER ACTIVITY

Activitat de salut i rehabilitació dirigida, bàsicament, a patologies de l’esquena. Aquest servei s’adreça a aquelles persones que tenen problemes d’esquena i que, per prescripció mèdica, se’ls aconsella fer activitat aquàtica.

Es realitza en grups reduïts de 4 persones, com a mínim, a 12 persones, com a màxim, i està dirigida per un fisioterapeuta i un llicenciat en educació física. Aquesta activitat es realitza a Sant Ponç.

WATER ACTIVITY FOR SENIORS

Classes in an aquatic environment aimed specifically at seniors, in which we try to slow down, or avoid (as much as we can) the natural aging process by working on aerobic stamina, muscular strength and flexibility etc. This activity has the notable advantage of lessening weight loads on the joints, and is also an excellent way of improving your social life; directed by professional staff in Sant Ponç..

PRENATAL WATER ACTIVITY

Low intensity water activity for pregnant mothers aimed at preparing mothers-to-be for birth, making the most of the advantages of an aquatic environment. This activity is directed by professional staff in Sant Ponç.
