Construction began on the GEiEG sports centre in Sant Narcís in December 1972, thanks to the co-operation of "la Caixa" bank. In November 1973, the first stone was laid, and on July 22nd 1975, the centre was opened. After extending the land in 1978, work began on the present sports centre, which was opened in December 1979. Meanwhile, construction work began on the second part of the complex with three indoor courts, and annexes with facilities for members. In 1996, new gyms for aerobics, keep fit and weight training, cardiovascular training and judo were opened.
At present, this facility, which has two outdoor swimming pools, is the focal point of a large part of the association's sporting activity, as this is the location of the handball, basketball, roller hockey, weightlifting, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, and artistic roller skating activities. There is also a room for funky aerobics. Finally, the sports school and the technical management service are also located in Sant Narcís.
